Project-Based Learning
There are hundreds of potential projects available in the "Moose on the Loose" resource. Lesson plans can be combined to create projects. Primary source sets and IDMs both offer possibilities for project-based learning. Virtual field trips can be combined with other material from relevant units to create a project. This content-rich site supports almost any project that delves into state social studies.
Many of the units culminate in a summative assessment project. The following list points to those projects within the units of study. Visit the Unit Plan for each unit to get an overview of the topic and the Worksheets and Resources file for each project.
