Unit 14: Preserving New Hampshire
New Hampshire has lots of natural resources—lakes, rivers, trees, animals, plants, even rocks! Many Granite Staters took these resources for granted. They believed the resources would last forever. But as more people came to New Hampshire and industrialization changed the way we work and live, those natural resources became threatened. The people of New Hampshire had to learn to protect the environment. The public, the state government, and businesses figured out how to work together to save our natural resources.
