First Grade x Amplify

Deepen comprehension and unpack the features of different reading and writing genres such as narrative, informational, and opinion texts.

The Amplify First Grade Knowledge Domains guide students to deeper comprehension of texts with learning activities that unpack the features of different reading and writing genres. Students continue to build their vocabulary as they read and listen to fiction and non-fiction texts that explore a range of topics including astronomy, early American civilizations, and animal habitats. The learning activities introduce students to the process of collecting and organizing ideas and information in order to write narrative, informational, and opinion texts. The Moose x Amplify lessons reinforce and extend these learning goals with activities that use those ELA skills to explore New Hampshire-specific connections to the Knowledge Domain topics.
